The supported components and service offering description

Component

Service Offering Description

Active Directory

Hosted   Organization: A mandatory component, the fundamental of the lifecycle of an   organization and its users starts here. Although the platform as such   supports multiple organizations (which translates in an organizational unit   with users ) with one or more domain names per customer, each customer will   have one organization unit and one or more domain names.

The services offerings are assigned on a   per organization base through hosting plans, once a service offering is   available to an organization it can be assigned to its users.

The organization as such and domain names   that do apply to this organization are created by a reseller administrator or   higher, once the place holder is created organization administrators can   maintain their environment within the boundaries as defined by the hosting   plans

The organization name equals to the primary   domain name, the domain name will be added as the suffix of the user login   names. User properties, state and so-called address book properties are   maintained through this service offering.

The DNS for the domains defined can be   maintained with resource records. These domains other than the primary domain   are not automatically accepted domains for email traffic; this has to be   defined through the Exchange Hosted service offering.

Communication with the active directory   will be based on a preferred domain controller

Deletion of the user will result in the   deletion of assigned service offering resource such as mailboxes.

Deletion of an organization will result in   the deletion of all assigned objects and their resources such as users,   mailboxes, sharepoint sites, dns zones etc.

Hosted Exchange 2010 SP2

  • Shared contacts   (management of mail flow settings)
  • Shared Distribution   list (management of aliases, mail flow and permissions)
  • Accepted Domains
  • Active Sync policy
  • Resource mailboxes   (management of permission)

Mailbox store allocation will be dynamically load   balanced across the assigned database availability group, it is not possible   to dedicate a specific database to a specific customer. Quota management is   based on amount of accepted domains, mailboxes, contacts, storage, and   distribution lists
